The Isles of Scilly

Right in our own back yard is the Isles of Scilly, a group of islands that are perfect to visit either for a weekend break, or longer. With white sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, tiny settlements, exotic plants, a mild climate and always the sound and smell of the sea, these islands are a real escape from the fast pace of modern living. The islands are St Mary’s (of which Hugh Town is the islands’ capital), St Martin’s, Bryher, St Agnes and Tresco with a population of around 2,000 and many smaller uninhabited islands.
The islands have an active community and there is always lots to do and see throughout the year – walking, golf, boat trips, bus trips, birdwatching, garden visits, swimming, snorkelling and diving and gig racing to name a few.
Watch this space for regularly updated events, news and more direct from the Isles of Scilly.
